Early Times Report RAJOURI, July 2: On Doctors' Day, Dr. Javid Iqbal, Deputy Medical Superintendent of GMC Rajouri, was honoured with two awards for his selfless service to humanity. The ceremony, held at Government Medical College, Rajouri, celebrated his dedication and hard work. Dr. Iqbal was praised for his exceptional role in "Operation Sindoor", where he provided critical medical care. Known for his kindness and commitment, he has won the hearts of both patients and colleagues. The event was attended by respected guests, including Prof. Dr. A.S. Bhatia (Principal GMC Rajouri), Brig. Girish Upadhyay,SM( dy.GCO) Brig. Poonam Raj, Lieutenant col Sumit Lathwal , Col. Ashok Kamar ,Dr.Sai Krishna and other senior officials from the Army and BSF. Apart from his work at GMC, Dr. Javeed Iqbal served as Deputy Commandant in the BSF, earning praise from senior officers. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he worked tirelessly, earning the title of COVID Warrior. The Rajouri administration has also recognised his efforts on national occasions like Republic Day and Independence Day. His dedication during medical emergencies has made him a trusted figure. Dr. Javed Iqbal is admired by common masses across political parties, including BJP, NC, PDP, and Congress. Senior officers like Dr. Shahid Choudhary and Sh. Vikas Kundal have appreciated his services. Recently, DIG Police Rajouri-Poonch, Sh. Vivek Gupta, honoured him for his work in the Forensic Department.
