Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 3: To appraise about the difficulties faced by the private schools a memorandum was presented to The Secretary of the School Education Jammu and Kashmir Ram Niwas Sharma at Srinagar.
President of the association, Ajay Gupta while presenting the memorandum highlighted the problems which have been erupted due to the non availability of online services since May 07, 2025 on the sites of SEDJKUT, JKBOSE & DSEJ. He also elaborated serious concern for the non adaptation of new added clauses in sub rule 3 of SRO123 as (a) and (b) of SRO 292 of 2018 (amended) for the quick disposal of the files in time bound manner by JKBOSE and education department.
He briefed that a new procedures to grant permission to establish, run, maintain or extend the permission of a private school had been laid in circular number 02-SED of 2022 on 10-02-2022. As per section (5) of circular 02 a clarification from CID, that there is no criminal case pending against the school is needed. But despite of clarification against a school, CID has devised a format not only to verify the antecedents of the members involved in the managing committee but also kith and kins of the involved members. People from the civil society are least bothered to become member because the details which CID claims included complete bio data along with income details, facebook/ Twitter profile (User name, email ID), sources of income, monthly income, property details with value, status of house with value, family details (father/mother/brother/ sister name, age, occupation), close friends circle details etc., he added. Number of problems along with proxy / dummy admission was also highlighted.
Members unanimously demanded sympathetic attitude to save all who have jumped to this profession to render yeomen services in their early life.
Secretary School Education gave a patient hearing and said that SED is planning to grant permanent recognition to all such schools having good infrastructure. He also gave assurance that a mechanism will be generated to coincide the validity of all essential documents with the time of period of recognition. He said that there will be no penalties to any of the school because quick audit is going on to restore online services. Somehow the problem related to the CID verification will be settled after discussion with the Director School Education, he further added.
Members who accompanied the delegation included Sanjeev Luthra, Ajay Singh, Dr. Madan Mohan Sharma, Gourav Charak, Naresh Kumar, Pardeepak Singh , Laddi Sharma, Naresh Kumar and Anil Choudhary.
