ADGP Armed J&K visits IRP 4th Battalion, Kupwara | | | Early Times Report KUPWARA, July 10: Anand Jain, IPS, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Armed J&K, today visited the IRP 4th Battalion Headquarters at Wayen, Kupwara. He was accompanied by Shri Junaid Mehmood, IPS, DIG IRP Kashmir, and Shri Munir Ahmad, SSP APCR Kashmir. On his arrival, the ADGP was accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour by a smart contingent of IRP 4th Battalion. The ADGP conducted a comprehensive inspection of the battalion campus, including the Battalion Kot, Mess, MT fleet, Equipment Store, and Main Office. Jain interacted with officers and jawans and later presided over a Darbar of the battalion personnel. During the Darbar, he patiently listened to their grievances and assured timely redressal of all genuine concerns. During his address, the ADGP emphasized the significance of maintaining discipline, physical fitness, and professional conduct. He strongly advised personnel to refrain from drug use, stay away from online gaming addiction, and remain vigilant against cyber-related frauds, which increasingly target security personnel. DIG Shri Junaid Mehmood emphasised about welfare and duties to go together. He lauded effort of Battalion in performing multifarious duties with dedication and commitment. On the occasion, the ADGP also inspected the newly constructed infrastructure of the Border 2nd Battalion at Wayen, Kupwara. He reviewed the progress and quality of ongoing construction works and issued on-the-spot directions for ensuring the timely completion of all pending works. Furthermore, the ADGP directed the Commandant of the Border Battalion to shift the unit's office to the new premises.
