Doda, July 15: In a significant move to strengthen disaster preparedness among students, the Union Territory Disaster Response Force (UTDRF) Doda Unit today conducted an awareness session at Police Public School (PPS), Doda, located within the District Police Lines (DPL), Doda. The program was organized under the supervision of DySP SDRF Doda, Sh. Adil Rishu, and aimed at sensitizing students and staff about basic disaster management techniques, emergency response procedures, and life-saving skills. During the session, trained personnel from the UTDRF provided detailed demonstrations on first aid, CPR, use of fire extinguishers, and evacuation drills. The participants were also briefed on safety protocols during natural calamities such as earthquakes, landslides, and floods. Special emphasis was laid on practical learning, with students and staff actively participating in mock drills and interactive Q&A sessions. The initiative was well-received by the school community, with the Principal of PPS Doda appreciating the UTDRF team for their dedicated efforts in promoting awareness and resilience among young citizens. |
