Poonch, July 16: The Indian Army conducted a lecture on Cyber Crime on 16 July 2025 at Government High School, Haribudha, Poonch, with the aim of raising awareness about cyber threats among the youth and local populace.
Recognizing that the youth are the highest consumers of internet and digital platforms in the country, the lecture focused on educating them about the misuse of cyber platforms, the potential threats posed by cybercrime and preventive measures to counter such issues.
Special emphasis was laid on the importance of cyber hygiene, including the regular sanitization of mobile devices to avoid malware attacks and data breaches. Participants were also sensitized about the risks of using banned applications, as listed by the Government of India and were advised to stay alert while navigating digital platforms.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and staff, who appreciated the Indian Army’s initiative in guiding and educating the younger generation. Several queries regarding cyber safety were addressed during the interactive session. |
