early times report

Jammu, July 25: Amid recent speculations surrounding internal disputes within the Yuva Rajput Sabha (YRS), Sanjeev Singh Rinku officially assumed charge as the new President of the Sabha. Marking the beginning of his tenure, Sanjeev paid tribute at the statue of significant historical Maharaja Hari Singh Ji, seeking blessings for the journey ahead.
The occasion witnessed a massive gathering, including YRS core committee members, former Presidents, the state body, and thousands from the Rajput and Dogra communities. The event stood as a powerful display of unity and hope for the future.
Chairman of YRS, Raghuvir Singh, praised Rinku as a dedicated and long-serving member of the Sabha. Highlighting his contributions as Vice President from 2013 to 2016, Raghuvir Singh described Sanjeev Singh Rinku as a selfless worker who always stood for the Sabha's cause without personal gain. “Today, the Rajput community has reposed its faith in him, and he has been entrusted with crucial responsibilities towards the Dogra community as well,” he added.
In his address to the media, Sanjeev Singh Rinku expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Rajput and Dogra communities. He assured them that his leadership would focus solely on the welfare and bright future of both the community and the region of Jammu.
He further announced plans to actively push for key demands such as the formation of a Rajput Welfare Board, establishment of a Rajput Hostel, political reservation, and equal rights for the Dogras. Emphasizing unity, he said that efforts are underway to resolve the internal differences within the Sabha, and expressed confidence that senior member Mandeep Singh will soon rejoin the fold for the betterment of the organization.
Former President Surinder Singh Gilli, who was present at the event, stated clearly that any differences within the Sabha will be resolved internally. He affirmed that by 23rd September, YRS will once again emerge as a united force advocating for the rights and interests of the Rajput and Dogra communities.
The event concluded on a powerful note, as thousands of attendees raised slogans in unity, declaring:
“We are all one and will always work together under the banner of YRS”
and
“We proudly call ourselves Hindustani Dogra.”
