| Career Counselling at Doorsteps Programme SBSSU Gurdaspur | | |  Early Times Report
GURDASPUR, July 25: Under the visionary leadership of the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. S.K. Misra, Sardar Beant Singh State University, Gurdaspur has launched a unique initiative titled "Career Counselling at Doorsteps." This programme aims to provide career guidance to students in rural and remote areas of the Gurdaspur district.
As part of the initiative, multiple university teams visited around 25 villages, engaging directly with students and their families to offer personalized counselling on career options, academic paths, and skill development opportunities. The outreach also extended to local schools, where students received tailored guidance to support their academic and professional aspirations.
In conjunction with this programme, the university also celebrated "Van Mahotsav" by organizing tree plantation drives in the villages visited. This dual-purpose initiative not only empowered students through education but also promoted environmental awareness and community participation. This impactful programme reflects SBSSU's commitment to inclusive education, rural outreach, and sustainable development. |
