Two medical shops closed in Batote for violating rules | | | early times report
RAMBAN, July 26: An enforcement team closed two medical shops in Batote area today for violating provisions of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act. The Drug Control Officer (DCO) led team conducted a thorough inspection of medical shops to enforce compliance with directives regarding the installation of CCTV cameras, implementation of computerized billing systems and proper maintenance of records for psychotropic and habit-forming drugs. It was observed that all other establishments, except two, have installed CCTV cameras and adopted computerized billing practices as mandated. The DCO also reviewed CCTV footage to ensure the cameras were effectively deterring improper practices. Officials said the implementation of these measures will foster transparency in transactions, strengthen inventory management and promote overall accountability in the district’s pharmaceutical sector.
