Jammu, July 26: A significant achievement in Indian Railways was announced today by Jammu Division of Northern Railway, with the installation of the first Direct Unlocking System at Dinanagar Railway Station. This system is expected to improve efficiency and safety in railway operations. With this success, during an event today on 26th July 2025, Divisional Railway Manager, Jammu Division, Shri Vivek Kumar explained the important features of the Direct Unlocking System. He informed that this system directly controls the railway signaling and point machinery, thereby reducing the chances of human error. The Direct Unlocking System ensures that the safe passage of trains is ensured, thereby reducing the risk of accidents. An important feature of this system is also that this system streamlines the movement of trains, and improves the efficiency of train operations. Commenting on this Direct Unlocking System, Shri Vivek Kumar, Divisional Railway Manager, Jammu Division said, "We are proud to introduce this system at Dinapur Railway Station. This is an important step towards modernization of Railways. This system will not only improve safety and efficiency but will also provide better travel experience to passengers. Indian Railways is planning to implement this system at other railway stations as well. This is an important step towards making Indian Railways modern, safe and efficient."
