Udhampur, July 26: Continuing its efforts to provide relief to the general public and address their grievances, the Cyber Cell of District Police Udhampur has successfully recovered and refunded an amount of ₹1,64,938.91/- in seven different cyber fraud complaints.
After receiving these complaints, the Cyber Cell team at DPO Udhampur swung into action, initiated inquiries, and promptly started the process of reversal and recovery of the defrauded amount. As a result, the total amount of ₹1.64 lakh has been successfully credited to the victims’ accounts, including ₹1,05,100/- to Ravinder Singh (Panchari), ₹25,000/- to Neha Rana (Udhampur), ₹23,500/- to Balbir Singh (Mand) among others.
Udhampur Police once again appeals to the general public to stay vigilant, avoid sharing sensitive information online, and report any cyber fraud immediately on helpline number 1930.
