HPS celebrated 26th Kargil Vijay Diwas

Jammu/Samba, July 26: Humanity Public School paid tribute to the bravery and sacrifices of the Indian soldiers who fought in the Kargil war (1999) by celebrating the Kargil Vijay Diwas with a special assembly.
The event was marked with various activities that showcased the students and teachers patriotism and respect for the Nation’s heroes.
The celebration began with a programme hosted by Ms. Navya of class 9th followed by a poignant candle tribute to honour the Martyrs by Principal Mr. Gaurav Charak accompanied by Vice Principal Mrs. Anku Charak, Administrative officer Mr. Ravinder Sadhu and Administrative Incharge Mr. Akashdeep Raina along with the Incharges of different wings, Mr. Prasidh Singh (Incharge Higher Secondary Wing), Ms. Namrata Sharma (Incharge High and Middle Wing), Mrs. Vandana Sharma (Incharge Primary Wing), Mrs. Aparna Billowria (Incharge Pre-Primary wing), Er. Varinder Kumar (IT/Computer Incharge) and Mr. Mahan Singh (Sports Incharge). A two-minute silence was also observed to remember the brave hearts.
The event was then followed by a thought provoking topic highlighting the significance of the day presented by Manyata of class 12th.
Harush and Shanaya of class 3rd showcased their talent through a poem recitation, few lines on Kargil Vijay Diwas was presented by students of class 3rd, also Bhagyalakshmi of class 5th beautifully dressed up as a soldier and recited a poem. Ms. Neha Attri a teacher from the middle wing delivered a speech that added depth to the celebration. While class 10th along with the teacher Ms. Shivani Bandral under the guidance of music teacher Mr. Kumar Abhilash and Mr. Rajan presented a soul stirring song that resonated with the audience.
The event concluded with a speech by Principal, Mr. Gaurav Charak. He appreciated the student’s performance and emphasized the importance of patriotism and encouraged students to uphold the values of courage, sacrifice and national unity.
Vice Principal, Mrs. Anku Charak said that the celebration served as a reminder of the valour and selflessness displayed by the soldiers during the Kargil war.
