Early Times Report KATHUA, July 26: A heartfelt tree plantation drive was organized at Nav Adarsh Higher Secondary School, Kathua under the inspiring campaign "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam", in collaboration with the Forest Protection Force, Kathua. The initiative aimed to instill environmental awareness among students while paying tribute to the unconditional love and sacrifice of mothers. Dr. Arun Gupta, Deputy Director, and Mr. Suresh Chand Anthal, Assistant Director, Forest Protection Force Kathua, graced the occasion as chief guests. They presented medicinal plant saplings to the school and students and sensitized them about the ecological and health benefits of the plants being distributed. Sardar Khan (SSP Retd.), President of the School Management Committee, was the special guest. In his address, he lauded the school and the Forest Protection Force for this meaningful initiative that connects students with nature and human values. Gandharb Singh Katal, Director of Nav Adarsh Higher Secondary School, remarked, "Planting a tree in the name of one's mother is not only a tribute to nature but also a deep expression of our values and emotions. Such efforts awaken a sense of responsibility and consciousness among students." Students enthusiastically participated in the plantation and pledged to care for the saplings.
