KATHUA, July 26: The NCC Units of Government Degree College Kathua commemorated Kargil Vijay Diwas under the patronage of Dr. Savi Behl, Principal Kathua by organizing a series of events and paid homage to the brave soldiers who laid down their lives for the nation during the Kargil War.
A total of 70 enthusiastic NCC cadets actively participated in the Plantation Drive under the banner "Ek Ped Shaheedon ke Naam". The cadets planted saplings as a tribute to the martyrs and also instilled a sense of patriotism and gratitude.
As part of the Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrations, the NCC cadets also paid floral tributes to the martyrs of the Kargil War during solemn ceremonies organized by the J&K Ex-Services Welfare Association. Tributes were offered at the Zila Sainik Board Kathua and at Shaheedi Chowk Kathua, in the presence of MLA Kathua, SSP Kathua, veterans and dignitaries.
