Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 26: A delegation of the Jammu and Kashmir General Line Teachers Forum (JKGLTF), Jammu Wing led by Provincial President Mr. Farooq Ahmed Daing, and accompanied by Mr. Sunil Singh, Mr. Neeraj Sharma, and other senior members, including a large number of female General Line Teachers (GLTs), met with the Director School Education Jammu today to highlight and discuss multiple long-pending and critical issues affecting the teaching fraternity and school support staff.
The key issues raised during the meeting included:
Annual Transfer Drive (ATD) of Teachers, Masters, and Lecturers, particularly the undue delay in release of pending transfer lists.
Departmental Promotion Committees (DPCs) for both teaching and non-teaching cadres.
Time Bound Promotions and redressal of Time-Barred Cases.
Regularization and pending service matters of AAYAs and Cooks working under various educational schemes.
Pending GPF (General Provident Fund) withdrawal cases of teaching and non-teaching staff.
The delegation expressed serious concern over the prolonged delays and appealed for immediate resolution of these critical matters, which have been causing unnecessary stress and administrative stagnation.
The Director School Education Jammu gave a patient and positive hearing, acknowledged the concerns raised by JKGLTF, and assured the delegation that:
The pending list under the Annual Transfer Drive (ATD) will be released very soon.
All other issues, including DPCs, pending GPF cases, and time-bound matters, will be taken up on priority basis for prompt resolution.
JKGLTF Jammu Wing extends its gratitude to the Director School Education Jammu for the responsive and cooperative approach and reaffirms its commitment to continue advocating for the rights and welfare of teachers and support staff across the region.
