Early Times Report JAMMU, July 29: The Department of Law, University of Jammu, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Surana & Surana International Attorneys, a leading law firm based in Chennai. The MOU was signed in a virtual ceremony, marking the beginning of a collaborative partnership between the two institutions. The MOU aims to foster academic and research collaboration between the Department of Law and Surana & Surana International Attorneys. The partnership will focus on moot court competitions, among other initiatives. As part of this collaboration, Surana & Surana and the Department of Law, University of Jammu, would conduct the "Surana & Surana and Department of Law, University of Jammu Trial Advocacy Moot Court Competition-North Rounds, 2025-26". This moot court competition will provide a platform for law students to showcase their skills in trial advocacy and moot court proceedings. Prof. Manju Jamwal, Head of the Department of Law, University of Jammu, and Mr. Preetam Surana, Partner & Head of Academic Initiatives at Surana & Surana International Attorneys, signed the MOU on behalf of their respective institutions. The signing was coordinated by A.D. Johnson Christy, Manager - Special Projects, Academic Initiatives at Surana & Surana International Attorneys. Dr. Navdeep Kour Sasan conducted the proceedings of the virtual signing ceremony.
