Early Times Report JAMMU, July 29: A tree plantation drive was organised in Alexander Memorial School Jammu, led by the Principal Mrs. Marshalaw Khokhar, the Administrator, Mrs. Esther William along with Staff and students joined with a mission of, "each one plant one". The emphasis was on the fact, that we are all co-partners in eco-system of God's beautiful creation and as good stewards have to rebuild and restore all resources given by God. The Diocese of Amritsar under the leadership of our dynamic Bishop, The Rt. Rev. Manoj Charan spearheaded the movement in all Diocesan schools. Such drives can involve planting a variety of trees, including flowering plants, fruit-bearing trees, and shade-giving species, in designated areas of the school. The students and teachers had brought potted plants as well as tree saplings like Gulmohar, Kachnar and Chain Sukh which will give shade and add beauty to the campus. This co-partnering and co existence is very important for students to learn. |
