Early Times Report SRINAGAR, July 29: The Sheep Husbandry Department, Kashmir, in collaboration with the All J&K Sheep and Wool Workers Association, today organized a day-long seminar at Lal Mandi, here, focusing on the vital role of Para-Veterinary professionals in the department. The event was presided over by the Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Cooperatives & Elections, Javid Ahmad Dar while MLA Sonawari, Hilal Akbar Lone and Principal Secretary Agriculture Production Department, Shailendra Kumar, graced the occasion as Guests of Honour. During the seminar, the President of the Association highlighted the immense dedication of Para-Veterinary professionals, particularly their work in high-altitude and difficult terrains during harsh winters. He also projected several issues faced by the workforce, including a demand for additional remuneration for services rendered under challenging conditions. Speaking on the occasion, Javid Dar lauded the commitment of Para-Veterinary employees and assured the gathering that their genuine demands would be examined and addressed on priority. He emphasized that livestock plays a pivotal role in strengthening the rural economy and acknowledged the critical contribution of Para-Veterinary professionals in safeguarding the livestock wealth of farmers.
