MLA Arvind Gupta holds review meetings | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 29: In a significant step toward enhancing civic amenities and infrastructure in the Jammu West Assembly Constituency, MLA Arvind Gupta held two separate meetings on Tuesday with officials from the Sanitation and Electrical Departments of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC). These discussions were aimed at addressing pressing public issues and accelerating development initiatives in the region. In the first meeting, MLA Arvind Gupta met with JMC Sanitary Inspectors to take stock of the sanitation situation across various wards of Jammu West. The deliberations focused on improving cleanliness, ensuring efficient waste disposal, and strengthening community participation in maintaining hygienic neighborhoods. The MLA stressed the importance of routine sanitation drives and the need for timely garbage collection to prevent health hazards. Officials present in the meeting included Sanitary Inspector Sumeer Bali, Sanitary Officer Ramesh Wazir, and Sanitation Supervisor Yaqub. The team shared updates on the current operations and challenges faced in waste management. MLA Gupta directed the sanitation teams to work in close coordination with local residents and ensure that all grievances related to cleanliness are addressed promptly. He emphasized the role of awareness campaigns in encouraging citizen participation and instilling a sense of responsibility among the public. In a separate session, MLA Arvind Gupta held a comprehensive review meeting with officials of the Electrical Department of JMC. The agenda included assessing the progress of ongoing electrical infrastructure projects and identifying areas needing urgent attention. Issues such as non-functional street lights, maintenance of power cables, and safety concerns were discussed in detail. Among the officials present were XEn Electrical Simran Pal Singh, AE Ranjay Gupta, AE Ravi, Line Inspector Victor Bhatti, Engineer In-charge J&K EESL Daljeet Singh, and Florida Manager Arun. The MLA asked the department to prioritize public safety and ensure timely maintenance and upgrades of electrical systems. He also recommended the installation of energy-efficient lighting systems in public spaces under the EESL program to promote sustainability. These meetings underscore MLA Arvind Gupta's commitment to proactive governance and his focus on improving the quality of life for the residents of Jammu West.
