Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 1: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) inaugurated the Viksit Bharat@2047 - Yuva Connect Programme on 1st August 2025 with great enthusiasm. The programme commenced with a vibrant Walkathon organized jointly by NCC cadets, NSS volunteers, SMVDU students, and participants from SMVD College of Nursing. The event began with an introductory address by the programme coordinators, Dr. Varun Dutta and Dr. Rajiv Kumar, who gave a brief overview of the objectives of the Yuva Connect Programme. They motivated students to actively participate in the wide range of upcoming activities, including Poster Competitions on Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and Viksit Bharat@2047, Physical Activities, My Bharat Registration Drive, Viksit Bharat Debate Competition, Awareness Rally on Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, Youth Parliament, Games Competitions, Nukkad Natak, and many more. On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Pragati Kumar addressed the gathering and emphasized the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047. He encouraged students to contribute meaningfully towards nation-building through active participation in all proposed initiatives. Prof. R.K. Mishra, Dean of Students' Welfare, and Prof. Balbir Singh also spoke during the event and shared their thoughts on the significance of youth engagement in national development. The event marked an energetic beginning to a week-long series of impactful activities, aimed at empowering students and aligning them with the goals of a developed India by 2047. |
