Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 1: Dogra Law College Autonomous, a distinguished institution under the aegis of Dogra Educational Trust, ceremoniously inaugurated its Induction Programme for the newly admitted LL. B 1st Semester students of the 2025-26 academic session. The event, held in the college auditorium, was a harmonious blend of solemn tradition and academic orientation. The proceedings commenced with a formal welcome and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, accompanied by Saraswati Vandana, invoking divine blessings for intellectual pursuit. Saplings were presented to the dignitaries a symbolic gesture epitomizing growth, sustainability, and reverence for tradition. The session included motivational address by Dr. Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary, Dogra Educational Trust. In his address, he extended a heartfelt welcome to the newly inducted students. He encouraged the budding legal minds to stay committed, persevere through challenges, and uphold the dignity of the legal profession. Urging them to remain sincere in their pursuits, he emphasized that success is not merely a destination but a process marked by integrity, hard work, and resilience. He also underscored the significance of theatre and stage participation for law students, noting that such platforms not only enhance articulation, confidence, and presence of mind but also mirror the performative aspect of legal advocacy. He concluded by inspiring the students to make their parents, their institution, and ultimately the nation proud through their conduct and accomplishments. In powerful and an evocative speech, Dr. Dharamveer Sharma emphasized the transformative nature of education. He urged students to be consistently attentive, regular in attendance, and punctual in all academic engagements. His message resonated as a call to embrace academic life with seriousness, curiosity, and a sense of purpose. Among the distinguished attendees were Dr. Bela Thakur, Director Dogra Group of Colleges; Dr. Dharamveer Sharma, Dean Dogra Group of College; Dr. Gitika Sehgal, Coordinator Dogra Educational trust and Dr Jay Prakash Srivastava, Principal Dogra Law College Autonomous each of whom lent their wisdom and presence to the occasion. Students were oriented on key institutional policies like Anti-Ragging and CASH, reinforcing the college's commitment to safety and respect. Sessions also showcased the vibrant cultural, literary, and sports activities, along with academic clubs, NCC/NSS, Legal Aid Clinic, and Moot Court. The orientation concluded with detailed briefings on campus facilities, examination norms, and subject-wise introductions by faculty.
