Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 1: As part of the ongoing celebrations leading up to the 79th Independence Day of India, Government SPMR College of Commerce, Jammu, held a solemn pledge ceremony on campus today, reaffirming the institution's commitment to the ideals of patriotism, unity, and national service. The event was organized under the aegis of the college's Independence Day Celebration Committee, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and staff. The ceremony began with the national anthem, followed by the taking of the Rashtriya Sankalp (National Pledge), emphasizing dedication to the nation's freedom, progress, and integrity. Speaking on the occasion, Principal (Dr.) Rajinder Singh highlighted the significance of remembering the sacrifices of India's freedom fighters and called upon students to uphold the values of democracy and civic responsibility.
