Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 1: Today, an Awareness Programme on Drugs Abuse and New Criminal Laws was organized at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Canal Road by the team of Police Station Nowabad. Lecture was delivered by IC PP Canal Road PSI Vikram Singh Manhas and PSI Rucheata Shan. Two important sessions were conducted during the event: Drug Awareness Session - Students were sensitized about the harmful effects of drug abuse, its consequences on health and society, and the importance of staying away from such substances. Emphasis was laid on the role of youth in creating a drug-free environment. Awareness on New Criminal Laws - The students were briefed about the newly implemented criminal laws, their relevance in ensuring justice, and how the changes affect citizens. Key provisions were discussed in a simple and interactive manner. The students listened patiently, actively participated in discussions, and clarified their doubts. The program aimed to educate young minds and strengthen community-police cooperation. |
