| GDC Thannamandi organises National Anthem Singing & Rangoli Making Competition | | | Early Times Report
THANNAMANDI, Aug 6: The Cultural Club of GDC Thannamandi under the patronage of Principal Dr. Farooq Ahmed continuing the week-long celebration of Independence day organised a solo Anthem singing and Rangoli-Making competition. The competition aimed to instill a patriotic fervor, national pride, celebrating our legacy and relentless freedom struggle. This competition saw an enthusiastic participation from variegated semesters. The event was clubbed with the the Technical Session of Summer Internship Programme 2025. The competition was adjudged by Akseer Singh Isher, Chief guest and Subject Matter Specialist,Dept. of Agriculture Production & Farmers Welfare,Rajouri, Khalid Raina Teacher, Dept. of School Education and Dr. Sheraz Ahmed HOD Zoology for anthem singing whereas Prof. Fatima Parveen from Dept. of Chemistry and Prof Altaf Hussain from Dept. of Education adjudged the rangoli making competition. The First position in anthem singing competition was secured by Zia ur Rehman from semester 3rd while second and third position was secured by Alia Sadeeqi from semester Ist and Toiba Aijaz from semester 3rd whereas in rangoli making competition Sadaf Parveen from semester 5th was declared Ist, Iram Mir and Iram Zabir from semester 3rd were declared to have won 2nd and third prize respectively. Prominent dignitaries present on the occassion were Dr. Nazakat Hussain vice principal delivered the words of appreciation for all the participants. Dr. Farooq Ahmed appreciated Dr. Gulshan Rashid Bhat, Convener Cultural Club and all the respected club members; Prof. Altaf Hussain, Prof. Rumy Dar, Dr. Meenakshi and Prof. Yasmeen Kouser for their collaborative effort in making the event successful. |
