JAMMU, Aug 6: A painting competition on the topic "Portrait of Unsung Heroes of Indian Independence" was organized at Govt. SPMR College of Commerce to promote creativity and artistic talent among students. The event saw enthusiastic participation from different streams of the college. In the competition, first position was secured by Sonakshi Sharma (BBA, Semester V), whereas second and third position went to Bhavdeep Kour (B.Com, Semester III) and Sant Kumar (BCA, Semester I) respectively. The competition was judged by Prof. Ashwani Kumar, Dr. Chetna Gupta and Dr. Deepshikha Sharma who appreciated the artistic expression and innovative ideas reflected in the students' works. Speaking on the occasion, Principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) Rajinder Singh congratulated the winners and encouraged all participants to continue exploring their creative potential. He emphasized that such competitions help in holistic development and provide students with a platform to express their ideas visually. The entire programme was conceptualized and coordinated by Dr. Jagmeet Kour and Dr. Rajni Sharma. Among those present on the occasion included Dr. Mohd Azam, Prof. Shaji Khan, Dr. Sunal Sharma and others. |
