Samba police foils two bovine smuggling attempts | | | Early Times Report SAMBA, Aug 6: Continuing its drive against bovine smugglers and their propagators, Samba Police has successfully foiled two bovine smuggling attempts in the jurisdiction of Police Stations Bari Brahmana & Samba and rescued twenty four bovines from the clutches of bovine smugglers. Acting on information received from reliable sources, a team of Police Station Bari Brahmana while performing vehicle checking duty intercepted a truck bearing registration No. PB35AN-8766 at SIDCO Chowk Bari Brahmana. During checking of the vehicle, nineteen bovines were found inside the vehicle which were tied in a cruel manner and were being transported illegally without any valid permission. The vehicle used in the illegal transportation of bovines has also been seized. A case FIR No.110/2025 u/s 223 BNS, 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Bari Brahmana and investigation started. In another bovine smuggling incident, a Police team of Police Post Mansar of PS Samba intercepted a Mahindra load carrier bearing registration No. JK08P-0346 at Mansar Naka and rescued five bovines which were being transported illegally without any valid permission. A case FIR No. 206/2025 u/s 223 BNS, 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Samba and investigation started. |
