DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range and DC flag off mega Tiranga rally in Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, Aug 14: District Administration Udhampur today organised a mega Tiranga rally under the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, jointly flagged off by DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range, Sarah Rizvi, and Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai, from the mini stadium, Town Hall, Udhampur.
DDC Chairperson Udhampur Lal Chand, Additional District Development Commissioner Rajinder Singh, DDC members, Additional Deputy Commissioner Prem Singh, PO Poshan Subash Dogra, GM DIC Kishore Singh Katoch, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Dr Umesh Shan, other district officers, prominent citizens, civil society members, students and the public attended the event.
Hundreds of school children, staff members, civil and police officials and citizens carried the National Flag and chanted patriotic slogans. A 1,600-metre-long Tricolour symbolising unity and national pride was carried by participants through Bus Stand, MH Chowk, Devika, Shiv Nagar and Dak Bungalow, culminating at Tiranga Junction, Omarah Morh.
Addressing the gathering, the DDC Chairperson and Deputy Commissioner said the rally aimed to spread awareness about Har Ghar Tiranga and emphasised celebrating Independence Day with patriotic spirit while honouring martyrs, freedom fighters and the contributions of the nation's founders.
