Rehan Basera Boria Gorkh Nagar celebrated 79th Independence Day

JAMMU, Aug 16: Management Committee of Rehan basera Boria Gorkh nagar Bahu fort Jammu celebrated 79th Independence Day alongwith prominent personalities of JAMMU. Flag hoisting ceremony was performed in presence of Swami Mahadev Saraswati Har Ki Pauri. A function was organised in the premises of Rehan Basera (Home for urban homeless)
While speaking on this occasion Sham Lal basson former corporator said that India has achieved Independence after the sacrification of lacs of Indians irrespective of caste creed and color. Thousands of martyrs lost their lives in the cellular jails of Andaman and Nicobar. Many of them could find space in the pages of history. Basson cited many examples of young martyrs like Tileshwari Barua age 12 yes.She was martyred during Quit India Movement in1942, Baji Rout from Odisha lost his life at age 12, Khushi Ram Bose age 18 yes, Kartar Singh Sarabha age 19 yrs, Raj Guru age 22 yes, Sardar Bhagat Singh age 23 yes, Chander Shekhar Azad age 24 yrs, and Birsa Munda age 25 yrs. Our young generations should know the meaning of Independence. How it has been achieved. Many of them are indulged in drugs addiction and other unethical activities.
Dr Parveen Yog Raj social activist expressed his views regarding achievement of Independence and it should be maintained. The should develop National character and should read the stories of martyrdom of young generation of that times.
Subash Gupta retd judge addressed the gathering and said that there are many problems which need to be addressed immediately such as Environmental issues, deforestation, dead dictionary etc, Adv Rajinder Kumar and adv Chander Mohan Sharma also addressed the gathering and expressed their views in detail. Madam Veena Bakshi manager Rehan Basera extended vote of thanks and expressed her views in detail.She thanked all those ngo's and individuals who helped to make the function a great success. Those who joined flag hoisting ceremony included Sr Jouranalist S Ravinder Singh, retd judge Subash Gupta, Swami Mahadev Saraswati, Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, umesh sharma, Rakesh Gupta, Rita Sharma, Sunita Bangotra, R L Bangotra, Mona madam, Sanjeev Vaid, Dalbir Parwana, Baldev Raj Nargotra, Om parkash, Veena Rani, Rattan Lal, Suresh Bangotra, Rajni Devi Aditya Dutta, Pooja, Ritika.
