JAMMU, Aug 16: GDC Nagrota organized its 79th Independence Day celebrations with immense patriotic fervor and reverence. Organized under the aegis of the IQAC, Cultural and Literary Committee, the event honored India's hard-won freedom and the sacrifices of countless heroes. The celebrations were designed to inspire youth, foster creativity, and promote civic consciousness. The celebrations began with hoisting of the National Flag by Principal of the College Prof. Anjali Mahajan accompanied by staff and students. The tricolor was raised with full honor and dignity, accompanied by the singing of the National Anthem. The moment was marked by a sense of pride and unity, as the gathering remembered the sacrifices of India's freedom fighters. A special segment was dedicated to student speeches on the theme of India's freedom struggle. Prof. Anjali Mahajan, Principal of GDC Nagrota, addressed the gathering and emphasized that Independence Day is not just a celebration, but a reminder of our duty to build a just, inclusive, and progressive India.
