Ticket checking staff returns mobile phone to passenger

JAMMU, Aug 16: Jammu 16 August 2025, train number 22401 which goes from Delhi Sarai Rohilla to Udhampur (MCTM). The passenger travelling on seat number 23 of coach number A2 of this train, who had to travel from Delhi Sarai Rohilla to Pathankot Cantt. During the journey, the passenger put his mobile phone on charging and got down at his destination station Pathankot Cantt. After getting down, the passenger remembered that he had forgotten his mobile phone on his seat. The passenger lodged a complaint about the mobile phone left in his train on 139 Rail Madad. Commercial Control Jammu immediately got information about this through Rail Madad. In which it was told that a passenger named Pushpendra Singh had forgotten his mobile phone on seat number 23 of A2 coach and got down at his destination station Pathankot Cantt. On getting information about this entire incident, the on-duty checking staff working in the train, Shri R K Meena went to the passenger's seat and searched for the mobile phone, in which the passenger's mobile was found near his seat. On finding the mobile phone, the on-duty ticket checking staff Shri R Meena took the mobile in his possession and immediately informed the passenger about the mobile phone. As soon as the train reached Jammu Railway Station, the passenger was called and after completing the verification process in the office of Chief Ticket Inspector of Jammu Shri Abdul Rashid and in the presence of other ticket checking staff, his mobile phone was handed over to the passenger. On getting his mobile phone back, the passenger thanked the railway and the on-duty ticket checking staff.
For this commendable work, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of Jammu Division Shri Uchit Singhal announced to give appreciation certificates to both the ticket checking staff Shri R K Meena and Chief Ticket Inspector Shri Abdul Rashid. Other ticket checking staff should also be inspired by such work and play their role in these praiseworthy works.
