Early Times Report
JHAJJAR KOTLI, Aug 19: In a significant step towards bolstering rural banking infrastructure and economic empowerment, Devyani Rana, Vice President of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), today inaugurated a new branch of the Industrial Credit and Investment Corporation of India (ICICI) Bank in Dammi village, located in the Jhajjar Kotli area of the Nagrota constituency.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by local residents, community leaders, and officials from ICICI Bank. Speaking on the occasion, Devyani Rana emphasized the importance of accessible financial services in rural and semi-urban areas. She highlighted that this initiative marks a step forward towards inclusive development, financial literacy, and economic self-reliance.
"The opening of this ICICI Bank branch is more than just the launch of a financial institution-it is a gateway to new opportunities for the people of Dansal and surrounding areas. Access to credit, savings, and financial tools will empower local entrepreneurs, farmers, women, and youth," said Devyani Rana.
She further added that such initiatives will give a much-needed fillip to the socio-economic development of the region, enabling employment, enterprise creation, and better livelihood prospects. The availability of banking services at the doorstep will reduce dependence on distant financial hubs and help circulate wealth within the local economy. Officials from ICICI Bank assured the public of seamless and customer-friendly services, including agricultural loans, MSME support, digital banking, and schemes tailored for rural households.
The establishment of this new bank branch is seen as a vital stride towards prosperity, self-sufficiency, and inclusive growth in the Nagrota constituency, reinforcing the broader agenda of "Viksit Bharat" and youth-driven development.
