Jammu, Aug 20: The Jammu and Kashmir Transport Commissioner’s Office has attached Ramesh Kumar Samotra, Incharge ARTO Samba, after he allegedly remained absent from duty since August 9 without authorization.
According to an official order, the officer failed to attend office or participate in driving skill tests and vehicle fitness inspections, causing disruption in service delivery and inconvenience to applicants. The order notes that Samotra had also been served a showcause notice earlier this year for similar conduct.
In view of repeated violations and pending inquiry into his conduct, Samotra has been attached to the Office of the Transport Commissioner, J&K, Jammu, with immediate effect. Meanwhile, Nasir Ahmed (JKAS), presently at the disposal of RTO Jammu, has been asked to look after the charge of ARTO Samba till further directions. |
