Abhay Bakaya visits flood-affected ward 71, calls for immediate relief and road restoration | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 28: Apni Party's District President Jammu Urban, Abhay Bakaya, today visited the flood-affected areas of Ward Number 71 to assess the losses and hardships faced by the people in the aftermath of recent heavy rains. Areas including Asaarabad, Gulshanabad, and Peerba Gali have witnessed significant destruction where approach roads to residential houses have been washed away. This has left local residents struggling with serious mobility issues and daily challenges in commuting. During the visit, Bakaya interacted with the affected families and assured them of full support from the Party. He urged the district administration to act without delay and provide: Immediate relief assistance to the affected families Restoration of damaged roads and approach paths Construction of protective crates and side walls to prevent floodwaters from entering homes in the future "The difficulties being faced by the residents are unacceptable. The government must act swiftly and ensure that connectivity and safety measures are restored at the earliest so that people do not continue to suffer," Bakaya said. He reiterated that Apni Party stands in solidarity with the victims and will strongly pursue this matter with higher authorities for immediate redressal. |
