KALAKOTE, Aug 29: Government Degree College (GDC) Kalakote celebrated National Sports Day on August 29, 2025, under the guidance of worthy Principal of the college, Prof. Mohd Farooq Mirza. The event was organized by Prof. Davinder Singh, (Convenor Sports Committee) to honour hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand.
The celebration featured various sports activities including carrom board, table tennis, gym workouts and a friendly cricket match. Students participated enthusiastically showcasing team spirit and sportsmanship.
Prof. Davinder emphasized the importance of physical fitness and active participation in sports. The event concluded successfully, promoting a healthy and energetic environment on campus."
