Early Times Report KATHUA, Aug 29: The District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) met today under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Sharma and approved 290 new cases under the Mission YUVA initiative. With these approvals, the cumulative number of sanctioned cases in the district has reached 522. While reviewing the progress of the scheme, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Skill Development and Business Unit (SBDU) to expedite the verification of pending cases and ensure timely handholding to the beneficiaries for effective implementation of the mission. The meeting was attended by ADDC Surinder Mohan, General Manager DIC, Mushtaq Chaudhary, Chief Agriculture Officer, Jatinder Kumar, Assistant Director Employment Kathua, Piysuha Khajuria, DDM NABARD, Cluster Head J&K Bank, Lead Bank Manager and other stakeholders. Mission YUVA, a flagship initiative, is aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and self-reliance among youth by extending financial assistance and mentorship support. The approval of the new cases is expected to provide a substantial boost to the entrepreneurial ecosystem and economic growth of the district. |
