Jammu, Sept 2: The office bearers of the Shri Amar Kshatriya (Rajput) Sabha visited several flood affected areas in Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Rajouri, Udhampur, Reasi districts witnessed the wide spread devastation caused by the heavy rains & floods. They alleged that government’s inefficiency, negligence and lack of preparedness have exacerbated the situation. The delegation members of the Sabha demanded that the government should take immediate action to provide basic facilities, including water, electricity and health care, setup health care camps, restore road connectivity provide compensation to farmer’s who have lost crops and livelihoods. Members said that people suffered huge economic losses and infrastructure including roads and bridges was heavily damaged. In some areas, electricity and water supply has completely stopped. The devastating same till now, including the landslide and cloud burst have taken the lives about to 160-170 and several are missing. Hundreds of people are forced to spend day and night with their families in tents, government schools and other public places. The Shri Amar Kshatriya (Rajput) Sabha has blamed the dual power system of Jammu and Kashmir and the delay in announcing the relief package by the central government for the ongoing delay in providing proper relief to the people effected by the horrific rain, landslides and cloud burst in Jammu division. The cloud burst and flash floods be declared a National calamity and people affect be given adequate compensation. The office bearers of the Sabha including Sh. Jagdish Singh (Vice President), Sh. Mangleshwar Singh (General Secretary), Sh. Narinder Singh (Executive Member), Sh. Balbir Singh (President, Jammu Rural), Sh. Nirmal Singh Langeh (Youth Leader), Sh. Sukhdev Singh, Sh.
