NFR to run additional 07 pairs of festival special trains to clear extra rush

Maligaon, Sept 3: In a bid to clear the extra rush of passengers during this forthcoming festive season, it has been decided to run additional 07 pairs of festive special trains over Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) to few destinations. Among these special trains- Train No. 08047/08048 (Shalimar – Rangapara North - Shalimar) will run from 19th September to 4th October, 2025 for 03 trips from both directions. Train No. 03005/03006 (Howrah – Lumding - Howrah) will run from 26th September to 29th November, 2025 for 10 trips from both directions. Train No. 05742/05741 (New Jalpaiguri- Gomti Nagar- New Jalpaiguri) will run from 28th September to 3rd November, 2025 for 06 trips from both directions. Train No. 03129/03130 (Kolkata- New Jalpaiguri- Kolkata) will run from 28th September to 24th November, 2025 for 10 trips from both directions. Train No. 05738/05737 (New Jalpaiguri- Narkatiaganj- New Jalpaiguri) will run from 28th September to 10th November, 2025 for 07 trips from both directions. Train No. 05740/05739 (New Jalpaiguri- Patna Jn.- New Jalpaiguri) will run from 20th September to 8th November, 2025 for 08 trips from both directions. Train No. 05734/05733 (Kishanganj- Amritsar- Kishanganj) will run from 2nd October to 15th November, 2025 for 07 trips from both directions.
Accordingly, train No. 08047 (Shalimar–Rangapara North) special will depart from Shalimar on every Friday at 17:45 hours to reach Rangapara North at 13:40 hours on Saturday. In return direction, train No. 08048 (Rangapara North - Shalimar) special will depart from Rangapara North on every Saturday at 16:30 hours to reach Shalimar at 12:30 hours on Sunday.
Train No. 03005 (Howrah – Lumding) special will depart from Howarah on every Friday at 07:15 hours to reach Lumding at 08:00 hours on Saturday. In return direction, Train No. 03006 (Lumding - Howrah) special will depart from Lumding on every Saturday at 11:00 hours to reach Howrah at 12:30 hours on Sunday.
Train No. 05742 (New Jalpaiguri – Gomti Nagar) special will depart from New Jalpaiguri on every Sunday at 07:00 hours to reach Gomti Nagar at 07:15 hours on Monday. In return direction, Train No. 05741 (Gomti Nagar – New Jalpaiguri) special will depart from Gomti Nagar on every Monday at 09:40 hours to reach New Jalpaiguri at 09:25 hours on Tuesday.
Train No. 03129 (Kolkata- New Jalpaiguri) special will depart from Kolkata on every Sunday at 23:40 hours to reach New Jalpaiguri at 10:45 hours on Monday. In return direction, Train No. 03130 (New Jalpaiguri- Kolkata) special will depart from New Jalpaiguri on every Monday at 12:45 hours to reach Kolkata at 00:40 hours on Tuesday.
Train No. 05738 (New Jalpaiguri- Narkatiaganj) special will depart from New Jalpaiguri on every Sunday at 14:05 hours to reach Narkatiaganj at 05:00 hours on Monday. In return direction, Train No. 05737 (Narkatiaganj- New Jalpaiguri) special will depart from Narkatiaganj on every Monday at 07:00 hours to reach New Jalpaiguri at 21:30 hours same day.
Train No. 05740 (New Jalpaiguri- Patna Jn.) special will depart from New Jalpaiguri on every Saturday at 05:00 hours to reach Patna Jn. at 17:40 hours same day. In return direction, train No. 05739 (Patna Jn.- New Jalpaiguri) special will depart from Patna Jn. on every Saturday at 19:30 hours to reach New Jalpaiguri at 09:30 hours on Sunday.
Train No. 05734 (Kishanganj-Amritsar) special will depart from Kishanganj on every Thursday at 09:10 hours to reach Amritsar at 00:10 hours on Saturday. In return direction, Train No. 05733 (Amritsar- Kishanganj) special will depart from Amritsar on every Saturday at 04:25 hours to reach Kishanganj at 17:30 hours on Sunday.
