| Dr Chigurupati Centre inaugurated | | | Early Times Report
Mohali, Sept 3: NIPER SAS Nagar and Granules India Limited (GIL) have joined hands to create Dr Chigurupati Centre of Excellence in Innovative and Sustainable Pharmaceutical Development (CCE-ISPD) at NIPER SAS Nagar campus which is being inaugurated on September 04 2025 by Chairman and Managing Director of GIL, Dr Krishna Prasad Chigurupati. Sustainability is a strategic goal to ensure environment friendly processes and long-term viability. Joint projects in the area of directly compressible crystals, plant-based excipients and solvent-free technologies shall be carried out. Dr Krishna Prasad Chigurupati, underlined the vision and commitment of GIL in adopting cutting-edge technology to minimize environmental footprints while ensuring quality to global standards.
Prof. Dulal Panda, Director NIPER-SAS Nagar hailed this as an outstanding example of Public Private Partnership to address healthcare need of the country.
The Centre under CCE-ISPD Lead and Academic Supervisor Prof. Arvind K Bansal shall focus on developing innovative technologies aimed at encouraging sustainability in manufacturing of APIs and formulations. |
