Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 3: In view of the rising water levels in rivers Tawi, Chenab and adjoining nallahs due to continuous rainfall, Jammu Police has been actively conducting rescue operations across vulnerable belts of the district. Our personnel are on the ground, working tirelessly to ensure the safety of citizens affected by the floods. Police teams from Akhnoor, Khour, Phallian Mandal, Belicharana, R.S. Pura, Miran Sahib and adjoining localities are engaged in round-the-clock efforts to evacuate stranded residents and provide immediate assistance. Despite challenging weather conditions, our officers and jawans are using all available resources to move people to safer locations. Rescue operations are being carried out in close coordination with the civil administration and disaster response agencies. Additional manpower, vehicles, and boats have been mobilized to strengthen the relief work. Police control rooms are also on high alert to respond swiftly to distress calls. Jammu Police remains on vulnerable areas along riverbanks and low-lying villages where water levels are rising rapidly. We appeal to citizens to remain vigilant, avoid risky areas, and extend full cooperation to police teams engaged in rescue and evacuation.
