Leh, Sept 5: Air Vice Marshal Vikas Sharma, VM Air Officer Commanding Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh (AOC JK & L) visited Air Force station Leh from 01-04 September 2025. On 02 September 2025, the AOC JK&L along with Air Commodore Sanjay Prabhum VM, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station Leh met with the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh and discussed important agenda points related to cvil-military cooperation and regional development. Further, on 03 September 2025, the AOC JK&L had a detailed interaction with the General Officer Commanding, 14 Corps focussing on joint operations border infrastructure development and connectivity in the Ladakh region.
The visit reaffirmed the Indian Air Force’s commitment to bolster tis operational capabilities and cultivate collaborative relationships with the civil administration and sister services. The visit has also highlighted the significance of Ladakh as a strategically critical area, necessitating concerted efforts to ensure the region’s security and stability.
