IGNOU notifies calendar for December 2025 Term-End examination; exams to start from December 1, 2025

Jammu, Sept 8: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is holding its December 2025 Term-End Examinations (TEE) from December 1, 2025, to January 8, 2026, and the tentative date sheet is available on the official website, www.ignou.ac.in. The notification No.8155 Dated 08.09.2025 issued by the Students Evaluation Division states that the online link for submission of the examination form for TEE, Practical and Project by the eligible students for December 2025 is already open and students must submit their exam forms well before the last date i.e., 6th October, 2025. The hall tickets will be released in November 2025, and it is important to note that the provided date sheet is tentative and subject to minor changes.
The Notification states that the examination form shall be submitted through the Student Portal on SAMARTH Platform and students are required to login to their student account at http://exam.ignou.ac.in. If the student is already registered on the portal, he/she may login to submit the examination form. In case the student is not yet registered, he/she is required to first register on the portal by clicking on NEW REGISTRATION and subsequently following the instructions.
From 7th October, 2025 onwards, a late fee of Rs.1100/- will be applicable till 20th October, 2025 after which the date for submission of examination form will not be extended under any circumstances.
“In view of filling the examination form through SAMARTH Portal, no request for change of examination centre will be entertained and the course/s once opted will not be changed after the examination form has been submitted online. Students must therefore go through instructions and exercise caution while submitting the examination form online”, said Dr. Sandeep Gupta, Regional Director, IGNOU Regional Centre Jammu.
