Early Times Report DODA, Sept 8: Ayush Department Doda successfully organized a series of medical camps across the district today. On the directions of Health Secretary J&K, Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh and the Directorate of Ayush J&K, the camps were held at six Ayush Health and Wellness Centres located at Neota Bhaderwah, Udyanpur, Thandapani, Dongroo Thathri, Trown, and Goshti Chirala. The camps were held under the supervision of District Ayush Officer Dr. Ajay Kumar Tickoo. A total of 529 patients were examined by Ayush Medical Officers and provided with free Ayush medicines. The medical teams also distributed awareness material and delivered health talks focusing on the importance of personal hygiene, safe drinking water and preventive healthcare practices, especially in the aftermath of recent rains and floods. In addition to treatment and medicines, the Ayush teams emphasized the role of Ayurveda, Yoga and other traditional systems of medicine in strengthening immunity and improving overall well-being. The initiative aimed not only to provide immediate relief to patients but also to promote long-term health awareness in the community. The Ayush Department reaffirmed its commitment to bringing healthcare services to the doorsteps of people in rural and far-flung areas. The dedication of Ayush Medical Officers and staff played a vital role in ensuring the success of this outreach program, which received appreciation from the local population. |
