| We must understand the power of education from Dr. Ambedkar’s life: Balbir | | |

Jammu, Sept 12 : While discussing the importance of education with some retired senior officials from the Scheduled Caste community, former Vice Chairman Balbir Ram Rattan said that it was through education that Dr. B.R. Ambedkar earned recognition both in India and abroad.
He said that Dr. Ambedkar's life is a testament to the fact that education is the most powerful tool to overcome any obstacle.
Balbir Ram Rattan was speaking with former IAS officer Guldev Raj Bhagat, retired Principal Jagdish Lal, and retired Senior Auditor from the Ministry of Defence, Hans Raj Loria. The aim of this discussion was to spread awareness about the value of education among the youth of the community and to inspire them to see education not just as a formal process, but as a means of self-development and social upliftment.
Balbir said that Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar proved through his life that when a person embraces education despite difficult circumstances, they can not only change their own destiny but also pave a new path for their entire community. He pointed out that Ambedkar pursued higher education in countries like the USA and the UK and, upon returning to India, not only played a key role in drafting the Constitution but also laid the foundation for social justice.
Rattan said that today’s generation must deeply engage with technical, scientific, social, and humanistic education. Today, we have resources and opportunities, but the key to success remains education. We must ensure that children receive quality education from an early age and are encouraged to think, understand, and innovate
