SRINAGAR, Sept 13: In one of the biggest banned drugs hauls of the year, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Srinagar Zone, busted a smuggling racket in south Kashmir with the seizure of over 10.7 kg of charas and the arrest of three accused. Officials said acting on specific intelligence, NCB Srinagar conducted a targeted operation in the Bijbehara area of Anantnag district on August 19, which led to the seizure of about 10.735 kg of charas, one of the biggest charas seizures of the current year. The arrested accused were identified as Firdous, a resident of Bijbehara Anantnag; Jan Mohammad Baba of Lal Bazar, Srinagar, and Mohammad Lateef of Srigufwara, Anantnag.
