Bishnah, Sept 15: Government Degree College (GDC), Bishnah, in collaboration with the Jammu Rashtriya Bhasha Prachar Samiti, proudly celebrated Hindi Diwas with great enthusiasm and cultural fervor on 15th September 2025. As part of the celebrations, a symposium was organized on the topic “Hindi Bhasha Mein Rozgar ki sambhavnayein evam chunautiyan “where six students showcased their oratory and literary skills. The event was graced by Dr. Shallu Samyal, Principal of the college, as the Chief Guest. Other distinguished guests present at the event included Dr Arvinder Singh Aman , Chairman Jammu Rashtriya Bhasha Prachar Samiti and Prof Bharat Bhushan Sharma, Mahamantri Rashtr Bhasha Prachar Samiti. A large number of students and faculty members participated in the celebration, reflecting their love and respect for the Hindi language and its cultural heritage. The program was meticulously organized under the leadership of the Head of Department, Hindi, Dr. Sunil Kumar Saliada along with his dedicated team. The event proceedings were seamlessly conducted by Dr. Ekta, faculty member from the Department of Hindi. The symposium saw tough competition, and the following students emerged victorious: •First Prize: Ms.Shivani, Semester 3rd • Second Prize: Ms. Sonia Semester 5th • Third Prize: Mr Rajesh Semester 5th The event was judged by a panel of esteemed faculty members: • Prof. Shrotika Rajput – Department of Political Science • Dr. Kaushal Kiran – Department of Urdu • Dr. Kusum – Department of Punjabi The celebration concluded with words of encouragement from the Chief Guest and guests, who emphasized the importance of promoting and preserving the Hindi language in today’s globalized world. |
