AYUSH Health, Wellness Centre, Kenihama holds series of camps | | |  early times report
BUDGAM, Sept 17: To commemorate the launch of Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan, AYUSH Health and Wellness Centre, Kenihama, under the guidance of District AYUSH Officer, Budgam Dr. Firdous Malik today organised series of health camps here. The initiative is aimed to promote health and wellbeing of women, thereby strengthening families and communities as a whole. A special outreach camp was held in local High school where female students actively participated, besides another camp was held at AYUSH Health & Wellness Centre, Kenihama which witnessed enthusiastic participation of women from the local community. During the camps, free health check-ups for anaemia, hypertension, diabetes, thyroid disorders and other lifestyle-related conditions, along with awareness sessions on nutrition, menstrual hygiene, maternal and child health were held. Yoga, meditation and stress management demonstrations were also conducted to encourage holistic wellbeing, besides one-on-one counselling sessions were held on reproductive health, mental wellbeing and lifestyle modifications. During these camps, free medicines were also distributed among the participants. Speaking on the initiative, Dr. Nusrat Bashir, Medical Officer, AHWC Kenihama, emphasised that women’s health is the cornerstone of a healthy society. She highlighted the importance of regular health check-ups and preventive care for overall well being of an individual. Dr. Nusrat further said that the program is part of a nationwide campaign that seeks to empower women through improved health outcomes, thereby contributing to stronger and healthier families.
