jammu, Sept 17: The Kashmiri Pandit Blood Bank (KPBB) continues its committed relief work for flood-affected families across Jammu. At Rajeev Colony, volunteers cleaned the Shiv temple, provided sanitary kits and buckets to families, and distributed biscuits to 50 children. In Sharika Vihar, Lower Roop Nagar, 20 beds and mattresses were provided to economically weaker families who lost everything in the floods. At Rajinder Nagar (Dr. Goel Lane adjacent area), 25 families received beds and mattresses, while 30 children were supported with notebooks. KPBB extends heartfelt gratitude to all sponsors, supporters, and volunteers both in India and abroad whose timely help has made these drives possible. At the same time, KPBB urges the government to step in with immediate relief and rehabilitation measures for those families who have lost their homes and livelihoods badly in this calamity. Statement by renowned social activist Ashwani Sadhu: “In the past two weeks, KPBB has been able to provide relief to over 700 families in Peerkho, Rajeev Colony, Rajinder Nagar, Sharika Vihar, Nai Basti and Muthi-2. This has been possible only because of the compassion of our sponsors, the support of well-wishers, and the tireless dedication of KPBB volunteers. I humbly appeal to all citizens to continue extending support to these affected families, and I strongly urge the government to provide immediate relief and long-term rehabilitation for those who have lost their homes and livelihoods.”
