Jammu, Sept 17: In a press briefing here in Udhampur, Deputy Director, Khushal Gupta said that the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt of India is organising National Youth Festival to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda on 12th of January, 2026. This year, the National Youth Festival will be organised in a restructured manner in line with the Prime Minister's Vision for heightened youth participation in shaping India's Future. The restructured program renamed as Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue will be held on 11th and 12th of January, 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi and shall be graced by Hon'ble Prime Minister of India. Icons of Global and National Stature will engage with the youth through interactive dialogues and workshops, providing the youth a unique opportunity to exchange ideas, gain insights and learn directly from inspiring personalities. Focussing more on the event, he added that the reimagined National Youth Festival now Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue is featuring the Viksit Bharat Challenge, a four-stage competition to inspire youth engagement in shaping India's Future. The Challenge progresses in four rounds. In round 1, there is Viksit Bharat Quiz in which any Individual aged 15-29 years can participate in digital quiz hosted on Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) platform between 01st September, 2025 to 15th October, 2025, testing participants' knowledge and awareness of India's landmark achievements. In Round 2, there is Essay Writing in which winners from the previous round will submit essays on about 10 identified themes revolving around Viksit Bharat, showcasing their ideas for National Development. This competition will also be hosted on MY Bharat platform. In Round 3, there will be Viksit Bharat Vision Pitch Deck, State Level Presentations in which participants qualifying the Round 2 will present their ideas on the chosen themes at the State Level. Through these presentations, each state will form teams on identified themes by hosting competitions to select participants for the national level. In Round 4, there will be Viksit Bharat National Championship at Bharat Mandapam in which various theme-based State-Level teams will compete in the National Youth festival on 11th – 12th of January 2026 and the winning teams will present their vision and ideas for Viksit Bharat to the Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi. To enable bright youth with a vision to share their Ideas for Viksit Bharat at the transformative National Platform, it is important to give them the opportunity to participate. In this connection, he urged the youth (15-29 years) belonging to districts Udhampur, Reasi, Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban and Kathua to participate in the Viksit Bharat Challenge that is being hosted online on MY Bharat Platform (mybharat.gov.in) till 15th October, 2025.
