Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 17: A special lecture on "Charitra Nirman evam Vyaktitva Vikas ki Bharatiya Sankalpana" was organized at the Matrika Auditorium of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University. The chief guest of the event was Dr. Atul Kothari, National Secretary, Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas. The program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and Saraswati Vandana. Thereafter, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pragati Kumar welcomed the Chief Guest, Dr. Atul Kothari, and in his address emphasized that the objective of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 is not limited to making students employment-oriented, but also to ensure their holistic development. He also highlighted the special efforts made by Dr. Kothari in the successful implementation of NEP.In his address, Chief Guest Dr. Atul Kothari stated that the successful implementation of the National Education Policy requires the active participation not only of teachers but also of students. Through NEP 2020, we have the opportunity to build citizens who are Indian in thought, intellect, and conduct. He further added that for national resurgence, it is essential to integrate Bharatiya knowledge traditions at every level and in every sphere of education. Such integration, he remarked, would naturally instill Bharatiya values in society and among citizens.On this occasion, Dr. Kothari was presented with a memento in the form of a portrait of Mata Bhagwati by the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor. The vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Ashutosh Vashishth, Dean, Faculty of Management, and the stage proceedings were conducted by Dr. Anurag Kumar, Head, School of Languages and Literature.The program witnessed the gracious presence of Deans of various faculties, Heads of Departments, section in-charge, faculty members, staff, and students of the University. |
