DODA, Sept 17: Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh today inaugurated a one-day Blood Donation Camp at the Blood Bank, Government Medical College (GMC) Doda to mark the commencement of Sewa Parv campaign.
Principal GMC Dr Rakesh Bahl, CMO, Dr Om Kumar, MS AH GMC Dr Tanveer Ahmed and staff of the Blood Bank were present at the inaugural event.
Dozens of volunteers, including members from the MC, donated blood. Alongside this, NCD screening for pregnant women was also conducted.
The campaign also witnessed an overwhelming response at the block level where a wide range of activities were organized including awareness programmes on women's health and family well-being, NCD screening and health check-up camps, plantation drives promoting eco-friendly health initiatives and Immunization sessions ensuring better maternal and child health.
