Early Times Report SAMBA, Sept 17: The Department of Health & Family Welfare, J&K (National Mental Health Programme), in collaboration with NCORD Cell of Pandit Prem Nath Dogra Govt. Degree College, Samba, organised a Poster Making Competition on the theme "Factors Leading to Drug Abuse and Its Consequences" under the banner of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. A large number of students participated in the competition and creatively expressed their thoughts on the causes and harmful consequences of drug abuse. The programme aimed at sensitizing the youth about the ill effects of substance abuse and motivating them to contribute towards building a drug- free society. On the occasion, Chief Medical Officer Samba, Dr. Vidhi Bhatial, along with Dr. Anju Saraf from the CMO Office, appreciated the initiative and lauded the efforts of students for their active participation. The Principal of GDC Samba Prof (Dr.) Meeru Abrol also highlighted the importance of such awareness activities in safeguarding the younger generation from drug addiction. The event was coordinated by Dr. Papinder Bhagat (NCORD Officer), Dr. Nidhi Sharma (ANO), and Dr. Mamta Devi. Prizes and certificates were distributed among the winners. |
